What if we learned how to stay in Love?

Love Letter | 8Th October 2026

A Relationship doesn’t only need Love.

It requires two people willing to keep evolving.

I came across a sentence today from Lewis Howes that stopped me:

“Divorce becomes the option when it's clear the person has no interest in evolution, communication, or healing the trauma that's causing issues.”

It made me think about why I created the Global Love Coach Academy.

Because I don't believe every relationship that ends was meant to end.

And I certainly don't believe that staying together is always the answer.

Sometimes leaving is necessary. Sometimes it is the most courageous act of self-respect.

But I also wonder how many relationships might have had a different story if two people had been taught how to truly grow together.

We educate ourselves for our careers. We seek mentors for our businesses. We invest in our children's education.

But where do we learn how to build a conscious partnership?

How do we learn to communicate when we are triggered?

How do we recognise the wounds we bring into a relationship?

How do we repair after conflict?

How do we evolve together when our individual needs, dreams and identities begin to change?

I know this question personally.

After thirteen years together, my own marriage ended in part because our paths of personal development no longer seemed to meet. I experienced what it feels like when one person wants the relationship to keep evolving, while the other begins to prioritise a different path.

That experience changed me.

It didn't make me believe that every marriage should be saved.

It made me believe that relationships deserve more consciousness before they reach the point of no return.

The need for educating relationships is becoming increasingly visible. While overall U.S. divorce rates have declined in recent decades, later-life “grey divorce” has become a significant and growing phenomenon; research shows the share of divorced adults aged 65 and older has tripled since 1990. Perhaps the question we need to ask is not simply...

“Why are so many people divorcing?”

However...

“How can we become better educated in Love before our relationships reach a breaking point?”

This is where I believe Love Coaching has a profound role to play.

Not to convince people to stay together.

Not to tell them to leave.

But to help them become more conscious, communicate more honestly, heal what is ready to be healed and make decisions from greater awareness.

Because Love is not only something we feel.

It is something we learn how to live.

And perhaps the greatest relationship education of the future will be learning how two human beings can continue to become — together.
